CROSS-SECTIONAL MODEL OF THE SPINAL CORD WITH SPINAL NERVES
This module will focus on the spinal cord, including its structure and how it functions: as a conduit for motor information, which travels down the spinal cord, as a conduit for sensory information in the reverse direction, and finally as a center for coordinating certain reflexes.
The spinal cord is formed by a central channel surrounded by “gray matter” with an outer layer of “white matter” as shown in this model.
The anterior median fissure, anterior column, lateral column and the posterior column can be clearly seen.
The model is delivered on a base and numbered with an English key card.
